Rough Sketch of my Video Portrait To Come

This is my initial 'gathering of wits', as I'd like to call it, in determining what my final piece will look like. The video I shot for the mini assignment was based entirely on my very strong concept for the final piece, and was in a way a wonderful practice for me in getting comfortable with my own ideas.
Basically, my portrait is relating to Fleet Foxes lead singer/ songwriter Robin Pecknold. I met him at the recent concert here in Ann Arbor, and was completely blown away by his presence; to meet him, speak with him, was an unforgettable experience, one which has made a huge impact on my life.
I am going the more abstract route with this piece, but it is based off of an idea that recurs in his songs which is the image of the 'wide-eyed walker'. I am attempting with this piece to show what his existence means to me, as I gradually awake to the world around me, to the presence of this wide-eyed walker and feel that I am not alone. For the final piece I will go back to the arboretum and shoot with a male friend who will represent him.
Accompanying the final video will also be a sound narrative that will go along with it, including a sort of collage of song lyrics spoken, both mine and his, that will tie into the visuals and add depth. They will be my voice and a male voice representing him as well.
I am really, really, Really excited to put this all together and make something really special in the end, as a portrait of this connection I feel with Robin, and what he means to me.
